Hollowed Hall

Eastern State Penitentiary is a closed, historically-significant prison located in Philadelphia.  When it was opened, it was one of the first prisons of its kind: a penitentiary, intended to “inspire penitence” in its inmates.  Today, it operates as a museum of its own history and the history of other prisons like it.
